We provided remote simultaneous interpretation for a series of global webinars focused on  grantmaking and social impact. Our interpreters helped Christian NGOs and CSOs from Africa participate fully in these strategic conversations.

Client: African Union Commission & Government of the Republic of Ghana

Project: Official Rapporteuring for the Accra Reparations Conference.

Challenge: To accurately capture, synthesize, and formalize the complex deliberations and historic commitments of a high-stakes, multinational conference aimed at building a unified front for reparatory justice.

Solution: Expert real-time minute-taking and synthesis of legal, political, and historical discourse to produce the conference’s official outcome document.

Result: A foundational and actionable communiqué that established a formal framework for a unified African and Diaspora position on reparations

The Project: Documenting a Historic Consensus

We were entrusted as the official rapporteurs for the landmark Accra Reparations Conference, “Building a United Front to Advance the Cause of Justice and Reparations to Africans.” The conference gathered heads of state, ministers, legal experts, and civil society from across Africa and the global Diaspora.

Our Role and Deliverable

Our team provided meticulous rapporteuring services, translating days of intensive multilateral discussions into a clear, structured, and politically precise outcome document. We captured the collective resolve of delegates, ensuring every commitment and legal nuance was reflected. The final deliverable was the official “Commitments and Recommendations” document, which served to:

  • Formally establish an African Union Committee of Experts on Reparations to develop a Common African Policy.
  • Propose the creation of a Global Reparations Fund based in Africa.
  • Outline a concrete path for operationalizing the African Union’s decision to advance the cause of reparatory justice.

This document now stands as the definitive record of the conference and a blueprint for future action, providing a solid foundation for the ongoing global campaign for reparations and healing.
